Barry Penetrator, a man, a musician, a surfer. Barry is a talented local
guy busting his ass to get his original sounds heard. His band, Barry
and the Penetrators, needs no introduction.
“We're
an American band, we're coming to your town, we'll help you party it down",
said Penetrator.
Barry
and the Penetrators care nothing about current trends. They're all about
the music. “We work our asses off, we play our asses off, said Barry,
who also has a gig at Eastern Lines Surf Shop in Belmar when he's not
playing or recording with the Penetrators.
Barry
does everything possible to promote and build support for the band he
represents. In this day and age, with poser bands saturating some communities,
it can be hard to generate an income.
What’s
why you should help out BARRY AND THE PENETRATORs and buy their CD’s
and merchandise right here, right now. You can also visit Jack's Music
in Red Bank if you don't pull the trigger now. Remeber, you'll be supporting
a hard working local Jersey band dedicated to the producing good music
and good times.
What happens when Jamaican roots rock reggae meets the soulful sounds
of Southern California punk thrown into a mixer of rock and dub grooves?
The only words to describe this phenomenon can be broken down into eight
powerful syllables: Barry and the Penetrators.
As
the Penetrators get ready to put out their (third?) album, they’re
poised to break new ground – but don’t worry, this (quintet?)
of dominant Jersey Shore music makers won’t be forgetting the melting
pot of musical genres where they first cut their teeth. Nearly seven years,
(hundreds?) of shows, and thousands of sold cds later, the Penetrators
are at it again. Fall 2005 shows no signs of slowing down for the band
that has garnered honors at no less than the past (four?) Asbury Park
Music Awards ceremonies. They’ve got an album to be pressed, and
fans to please, and they’re ready to rip it up.
It’s
lifestyle music, pure and simple. Surf by day, party by night, and enjoy
every minute. The Penetrators invite you to experience their patented
blend of musical craftsmanship touched with a good dose of ass-kicking
energy. And they place a high emphasis on both live and recorded material,
to the delight of an ever-growing fan base hungry for more Penetrators.
The successful Beaver Country has sold over 3,000 copies, and their music
can be heard in 20 countries from the rockin’ shores of Brazil to
the bumpin’ beaches down under in Australia. Having shared the stage
with the likes of Bouncing Souls, Burning Spear, Eek-A-Mouse, Skunk Record’s
Slightly Stoopid, and The Wailers, Barry and his crew of kinetically charged
musicians will take you through one hell of a ride.
But
it’s about more than music. Supporting causes as diverse as ocean
pollution and cancer research are as much a part of this band’s
repertoire as tearing the roof off any room they play. And the Penetrators
have continued the sometimes forgotten art of playing to each and every
fan. An active street team, thoughtfully produced concert artwork and
dedication to their fans has the masses coming back time and time again.
They wouldn’t have it any other way.
Barry
and the Penetrators may rock you. They may soothe you or entice you to
riot. But they will always surprise you. Their latest album, (name?) is
due to be released in (date?) on (label?). Until then don’t miss
a chance to see the band that grew up in Springsteen’s backyard,
but decided to punk it up, dub it up, and skank it up, rock-Rasta style.
